Straight from Greece, they entered dynamically the music idustry back in 2010! First steps done in their own country but with worldwide expectations in mind! The combination of a talented singer/mucisian and two djs/producers led to a succesful music team! They are called THE MODE and their style of music is EDM (progressive house / house / electro house/dubstep), and mainstream/pop. Beyond their musical creations , what makes the difference is the appearance on the scene! FEY KROSS-singer /songwriter of the band- appears with special sartorial choices always combining quirky touches and JORGE CORTEZ and DIMITRI MESOL-djs/ producers- always wear unique robot masks and original costumes ! The masks are not just accessories , but a way to express their creativity and give their personal mark .THE MODE seek to present something different from the ordinary, both in their music and in their appearance as well as attempting to combine two favorite things: music and fashion ! A concept that promotes free expression in each «dimension».
Some of the artists that had a great influence on them are as follows: Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell, Daft Punk, John Digweed, Laidback Luke, Tristan Garner, Dennis Ferrer, Markus Schulz, Steve Angelo, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Prince, No Doubt, Sade, Witney Houston etc. They’re also influenced by classic rock, jazz and blues.They starting working with important people in the music system such as George Georgakopoulos ( radio and music producer -progressive / elektronica, Greece), Sotiris Noukas (music producer and member of the band ‘Perasma’ – Swing to harmony, Greece) , Ran Ben Shoshan ( producer progressive / elektronica, Israeli collaborator and producer of Paul Van Dyke), Protoxic Djs (France), dj Wellpunisher (Brazil) , dj-producer Biboulakis (America), Manuel De La Mare (Italy), NTS (Greece), Arrow (Greece) etc. Especially, in collaboration with Ran Ben Shoshan they created a melodic remix of the legendary track ‘Need to feel loved’-Reflekt (2010) along with the original progressive/electronica track ‘Tragic Love’(2011), which realeased in America (Modern Beat Digital, California) and was played by many well-known artists, such as Tristan Garner (played during his live show) and Matt Darey (played at the famous Ministry Of Sound Radio and then Matt circulates it in mixed single from the record label Ministry Of Sound) .After two remix packs and a gold EP of ‘Tragic love’, Ran Ben Shoshan’ s remix climbed at number 1# position in beatport in breaks category.In 2010 they also released a single in Greece, called ‘Running’ at Planetworks/Universal Music, which also entered ‘Mykonos Collection’, a well-known dance collection in Greece. THE MODE with the single «Get me high» received a nomination in the MVMA Greece in summer 2011 in the contest of Vodafone CU (Banner Concert) and won first place with over 30,000 votes within only ten days! The winning song «Get me high» officially released by Warner Music (Greece) –official label of the group-with the support of Mad TV, MTV and Vodafone. Noteworthy is that this single was included in the collection «Island 12» between foreign successes of 2012. Soon becomes the first official video clip of THE MODE on the single «Get Me High» with the support of MTV and Mad TV. Garments edited by the eccentric famous designer Konstantinos Mitrovgenis (Greece).
In spring of 2013 THE MODE released another single by Plus Rec / Universal Music ,called ‘Genius’ in collaboration with Italian producer Luca Monticelli (Spinning Records etc), along with the remixes of Arrow, NTS and Wellpunisher. Also the track was released by the Italian label Art & Music Records and THE MODE became quite known in Italy as the piece emerged as one of the favorites of Italian radios! In the video clip Fey Kross was wearing one of the most eccentric dresses ever made in Greece with special structure to start a real fire, creature’s own Konstantinos Mitrovgenis, who excelled in the same year pan for its originality in design competitions in Germany! Closing 2013 comes an unexpected surprise, a collaboration with the popular Greek rapper BO in the song ‘Pos to lene’ (Πως το λένε – first Greek-lyric song) which is officially released by Cobalt Music in December! Video clip comes a few weeks after and becomes top popular on Youtube in a few days.
The most important shows of THE MODE were: Almyra Festival in June 2013 in Thessaloniki next to Helena Paparizou, Antonis Remos and other great artist from Greece, where 10.000 people attended! In August 2013 they perform one of the most important lives traveling and participating in Ibiza privet party of the record label Art & Music Recordings, where they encounter major producers worldwide. They also involved in many actions by several magazines in Greece (Biscotto, Close up, Tiletheatis, TheCity etc), in fashion shows (LaGrange gala, Madwalk, AthensExclusiveDesignerWeek, K.Mitrovgenhs, Diesel campaign ‘Be Stupid’ ) ,charity events and furthermore they gave live shows in all over Greece (Thessaloniki, Athens, Peloponhsos, Santorini, Mytilini etc) and in some other countries such as Italy (Milan) and Germany (Berlin).
THE MODE is the first greek group that manages to give an interview to well-known worldwide magazine DJ MAG! Specifically, the authors of DjMag Italia at the interview with THE MODE declare their admiration for this project, calling it a ‘phenomenal group ‘ from which they expect big things, flaunting the voice of Fey Kross! The interview was released in December issue 2013 and between the soles the group revealed its upcoming EDM album which will be released in 2014! For second time THE MODE entered DJMAG Italia three months after, been guestioned several things along with Showtek and other artist from all over the world!There are also interviews and articles about the band in many magazines in Greece and also in italian newspapers!
